What is the "Splash-Proof Specification"?
The HAION Caster PAS Motorized system is designed
with professional splash-proof grading certification.
In international industrial protection standards, "splash-proof"
has a highly stringent and clearly defined experimental testing standard:
Definition of Splash-Proof Standard:
The equipment must be able to withstand water splashing from any angle and direction,
and its internal core circuitry must remain completely undamaged and
fully operational after testing.
This means that the internal motor and electronic control components of the motorized system
are protected by precision-engineered waterproof rubber seals and
protective housing structures, preventing water from easily penetrating the interior and
causing short circuits.
Three Splash-Proof Scenarios for HAION Caster PAS
With the support of the splash-proof specification,
HAION Caster motorized system demonstrates exceptional durability and
safety in the following daily operational scenarios:
◆Routine Disinfection in Healthcare and Care Environments:

Precision instrument carts or hospital beds must be regularly sprayed and
wiped down with alcohol or disinfectants. The splash-proof protection ensures that
these liquids will not penetrate the internal motor and battery modules during spraying
or accidental large-scale spills, safeguarding medical electrical safety.
◆Damp Floors in Logistics and Manufacturing:

When factory or warehouse floors have just been mopped,
or when condensation forms due to temperature differences,
     the ground inevitably becomes damp.
As the motorized system rolls over these slightly wet surfaces,
it effectively prevents water splashed up by the wheels from corroding the core circuitry.
◆Brief Outdoor Transit Between Factory Buildings:

When a cart needs to be moved between different facilities,
operators can complete the transport task smoothly and safely without panic,
even if they encounter light drizzle or small puddles along the way.
Classification of Splash-Proof Levels (IPX0 ~ IPX4)
  ◆IPX0 (No Protection)
The equipment has absolutely no waterproof design.
Any contact with water is highly likely to cause direct circuit damage.
  ◆IPX1 (Vertical Drip-Proof)
Can only withstand water droplets dripping vertically at a rate of 3–5 mm per minute.
  ◆IPX2 (15° Tilt Drip-Proof)

When the enclosure is tilted at 15°, it can still block vertically falling water droplets,
offering slightly better protection than IPX1.
  ◆IPX3 (Spray-Proof)

Upgraded to block water sprayed at any angle up to 60° from the vertical,
     similar to light outdoor rain.
  ◆IPX4 (All-Angle Splash-Proof)

A high benchmark in the splash-proof field.
The equipment must be able to withstand the impact of liquid splashing
     from any angle and direction.

3 Essential "Splash-Proof" Principles
Although the HAION Caster PAS motorized system features an excellent splash-proof design,
users must pay close attention to the following points during daily maintenance and
cleaning to extend the equipment's lifespan and avoid chemical or electrical damage:
◆High-Pressure Water Jet Cleaning is Strictly Prohibited:
When cleaning carts, never use high-pressure water guns
(such as those used for car washes or food processing plants)
to spray directly at the electric wheels, battery boxes, or control panels.
The intense impact force of high-pressure water far exceeds splash-proof testing standards
and can easily destroy the waterproof seals of the housing.
  ◆Avoid Prolonged "Immersion" and "Wading":
If severe water accumulation occurs in the factory and the water level submerges
the wheel axle or touches the motor, please switch to manual push mode and detour.
Do not force the equipment into deep water, as splash-proofing
cannot withstand the pressure of immersion.
◆Use "Wiping" Instead of "Heavy Rinsing":
If the wheels become soiled, the best way to clean them is to wipe the outer housing
with a damp cloth or a mild, neutral detergent,
and then place them in a well-ventilated area to dry.
This is the gentlest and safest way to care for your electric wheels.
